Refund & Insurance Compensation Policy

At Logistics Sutter, we are committed to the safe handling, storage, and delivery of all packages entrusted to us through our logistics, warehousing, and delivery services. This policy explains our refund and insurance compensation terms in the event of loss, theft, or damage.

1. Eligibility for Claims

Customers must report any lost, stolen, or damaged shipment within 30 days from the original shipping date. Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for compensation.

All claims are subject to verification through tracking records, delivery confirmation, warehouse logs, and carrier investigations where applicable.

2. Shipments Without Insurance Coverage

If a shipment was not insured, Logistics Sutter’s liability is limited to the original declared value of the item being shipped.

In such cases, compensation will not exceed:

  • The declared item value provided at the time of shipment.

Shipping fees, storage fees, and handling fees are non-refundable unless otherwise determined by Logistics Sutter.

3. Shipments With Insurance Coverage

If a shipment was insured at the time of booking, the shipment is protected against:

  • Loss

  • Theft

  • Damage in transit

Once the claim is verified and approved, Logistics Sutter will provide compensation consisting of:

  • Full reimbursement of the item’s declared value, plus

  • Additional compensation based on the insurance coverage, up to $10,000 per shipment depending on the claim assessment.

Insurance compensation is determined based on:

  • Declared shipment value

  • Insurance level purchased

  • Supporting documentation (invoice, receipt, or proof of value)

  • Investigation outcome

4. Claim Review Process

The claim process includes:

  1. Claim submission by the customer

  2. Verification and investigation

  3. Claim approval decision

  4. Refund or compensation payment

Processing time may vary depending on the nature of the claim and third-party carrier involvement.

5. Non-Covered Situations

The following are not eligible for compensation:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the sender

  • Improper packaging by the sender

  • Prohibited or restricted items

  • Normal wear, minor packaging damage, or delays not resulting in loss

6. Right to Investigation

Logistics Sutter reserves the right to investigate all claims before issuing compensation and may request documentation supporting the value and condition of shipped goods.

Fraudulent claims will result in denial of compensation.
